MELBOURNE TEA FESTIVAL 2017

THE MELBOURNE TEA FESTIVAL IS A CELEBRATION OF SPECIALTY LOOSE LEAF TEA.
Wander through the tea market and discover some of the best artisanal teas around, grab a bite to eat from a food truck, indulge in a sweet treat or sit down and enjoy a cup of tea in the brew lounge. There are also workshops hosted by leading industry specialists where you can participate in hands-on sessions and tastings.

The Melbourne Tea Festival is an interactive experience designed to help people discover and experience specialty tea; encourage and grow passion for tea through education; and showcase quality specialty tea providers. The festival day has two elements, a tea market and a program of workshops.

TEA MARKET
The tea market features dozens of stallholders – tea brands with specialty loose leaf tea and tisanes of all styles; food purveyors with tempting sweet and savoury treats, along with food trucks for something bigger to snack on; ceramic artists and makers of beautiful teaware and accessories. There’s also a Brew Lounge where you can sit and enjoy a cup of tea and listen to music. Tickets are available online or at the door on the day and include a take home porcelain tea tasting cup valued at $5.00, so you can sample tea all day for free.

TEA WORKSHOPS
The workshop space is where you can immerse yourself in the fine details of tea with some of Australia’s leading tea specialists, as they host educational talks, tastings, demonstrations and hands-on sessions. Sessions cover a range of topics such as tea basics and blending, tea ceremonies and tastings, and much more. Tickets are available online or at the door on the day.
